Nagarro won this year’s “Finalist” award at the “Großer Preis des Mittelstandes”

Nagarro, a leading full-service IT provider for critical enterprise applications and complex ERP landscapes, has won this year’s “Finalist” award at the “Großer Preis des Mittelstandes” of the Oskar Patzelt Foundation. The award-winning companies were chosen because of their outstanding commitment to society as a guarantor of stability and trust. In the “Großer Preis des Mittelstandes” competition, the companies are not only evaluated according to individual business criteria, but in their entirety as a company and in their role in society. The awards were based on criteria like sustainability, innovative strength, social commitment and value orientation.

On Saturday, September 24, 2022, around 400 entrepreneurs attended the award gala as part of the 28th competition of the “Großer Preis des Mittelstandes” in the Hotel Maritim in Düsseldorf.

35 of the 4,546 nominated companies received an award.

The Economic Development Department of the City of Pirmasens nominated Nagarro for the award for the first time in 2022. Nagarro offers IT-support for medium-sized and large companies by implementing digital technologies and innovative products to make processes more efficient and to establish business models for the future – both locally and worldwide.

“Nagarro has made a valuable contribution to the digitization of our region in recent years by digitizing companies and schools, and co-hosts the Digitaltag Pirmasens, where decision-makers from politics, business and society discuss the opportunities and risks of digitization in the coming year,” says Mark Schlick from the Pirmasens Economic Development Agency.

“Nagarro in Pirmasens is a great example of digital transformation and shows how our city is an attractive business location. The opening of the Nagarro site in Rheinberger as well as the continuous growth and the creation of around 80 new jobs make our region attractive,” adds Markus Zwick, Mayor of Pirmasens.

“We are proud and very pleased about winning this award, as it reflects our commitment as a company. Our aspiration at Nagarro is, of course, to provide the best possible support to our customers and to prepare them for the future technology-wise so they can remain competitive. But we also care about society as a whole and support numerous social projects, such as digitizing schools or fundraising for refugees. Winning the “Finalist” award at the “Großer Preis des Mittelstandes” 2022 shows us that we are doing the right thing and it encourages us to continue working in the same direction,” says Michael Schmidt, Managing Director of Nagarro in Germany.
