On April 23, the most successful implementations of SAP applications were honored in four categories in Germany. Every year since 2006, SAP Germany has awarded customers with the SAP Quality Award, perhaps the most important prize awarded by the Walldorf-based software manufacturer. In the Rapid Time to Value category, our customer Dussmann Stiftung und Co. KGaA reached the final round with our successful implementation of the SAP S/4HANA Cloud – Essentials Edition
The Dussmann Group is an internationally active service provider with headquarters in Berlin. While SAP ECC has been in use for many years in the DACH region, a heterogeneous IT landscape had historically developed in the numerous national subsidiaries of the EMEA division, which was no longer up-to-date and also partly maintenance-intensive. In conjunction with a process harmonization initiative, SAP S/4 HANA was therefore to be chosen as a modern ERP system.
In addition to SAP S/4HANA as the new ERP, Nagarro ES also relied on the SAP Integration Suite (SAP Business Technology Platform). Due to the international orientation, the type of implementation was also important at Dussmann in addition to the main software solution . Nagarro ES used SAP Activate, an implementation method specially tailored to SAP S/4HANA. This established method was the basis for an efficient and fast implementation and therefore the key to success
This year, a total of more than 50 customer projects recommended directly to the jury were put through their paces. The SAP judges evaluated the projects on the basis of ten quality principles. Successful SAP implementations are characterized above all by stringent project planning and a focus on fast and cost-effective implementations close to the SAP standard. The aim is to achieve project results that generate measurable added value and meet the demand for short implementation cycles and rapid value creation. In this regard, the SAP Quality Awards support the creation of a network of thought leaders and strengthen collaboration with customers and partners.
Alexander Kläger, Managing Director of SAP Germany, was also impressed by the quality of the projects in his welcoming address to the selected finalists. “All of the nominated projects this year stood out for their creativity in implementing innovation in our customers’ core processes.”
